Daniel W. Isenbarger, M.D.


Dr. Isenbarger comes to Hillsboro from Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., transitioning from active-duty U.S. Army service. His military career included overseas tours of duty in Southeast Asia, Bangladesh, and Iraq. He has served as the Medical Director of the Tuality Community Hospital Cardiac and Endovascular Catheterization Laboratory, where he oversaw an award-winning team known for outstanding emergent care of acute myocardial infarction. He specializes in coronary and peripheral vascular interventions, having received his medical training at Yale, Georgetown, Walter Reed, Johns Hopkins, and Uniformed Services University. His medical background additionally includes clinical and basic science research experience in cardiac hypertrophy, contrast nephropathy, coronary stents, malaria, and enteric bacterial vaccine development.

He is married, and has two teenage children. In late 2011, Dr. Isenbarger and his wife, Laura, welcomed a baby boy into their family. His other loves include surfing, cycling, landscaping, motorcycling, exploring the Pacific Northwest, and enjoying Dr. Toren's fine cuisine when the opportunity arises.
